The first lesson with me is complimentary- no cost for you! During this time, we will get to know one another better, discuss goals and questions, and essentially do a “sample lesson.” You’ll walk away with a few things to practice, and a better feel for what lessons are like, if you choose to sign up!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can send an email to katielynnjohnson3@gmail.com or by clicking the button above!

  • Great question! Lessons are located at our home in Clifton Park. We live right near the Shenendehowa Schools, and a 3-minute drive to Market 32. Parents often go for a walk or do a quick grocery run during their student’s lesson!

When you arrive, park perpendicular to the house, as we often have people coming in and out! (We live in a 3 generation household!)

  • I believe consistency is key with my students. That being said, I totally understand busy schedules, and definitely have flexibility with lessons. We have plenty of options for your lessons, like:

    • Switching to a Zoom lesson

    • Scheduling a “Double” lesson (1-hr lesson) at a mutually discussed time! Doubles are a convenient way to make-up a lesson if/when a conflict arises in schedules

    • Rescheduling to a different time/lesson day for that week!

  • It happens! Just let me know when you are running late. This is especially helping if it’s over a few minutes!

**If it's possible to go a little over time on my end (meaning, there is no student directly after your scheduled lesson,) I will always try to do that!

  • If you know you have to cancel prior to the day-of your lesson, just let me know! We will always try to find a time to make-up the lessons, becuase consistency is key for my students!

Make-up lessons can be done via Zoom, by scheduling a “Double,” or rescheduling to a different day.

  • If none of the other options work, you can opt for a “Day-of Cancel.”

Beginning in 2023, I will be allowing one Day-Of-Cancel per month for your student. After which, you will need to pay for your scheduled lesson.

Keep in mind that this only applies if you are canceling ON the day of your scheduled lesson. Schedule changes made ahead of time are exempt!

  • Yes! I can teach all lessons over Zoom.

Zoom is an excellent resource for us to use in the event of travel, schedule change, or sickness. Some of my students have found that weekly Zoom lessons work the best for them and their schedules.

Whatever the case may be, I will walk you through the process if you are interested to try out a Zoom lesson together!
